I’ve been a Christian since 1973 and lived in Athens and the surrounding area from 1978-1999. Through my participation in Athens Covenant Community Church, I became aware of the deep spiritual needs of inner city Athens.
I am serving on the Sparrow’s Nest Board to help give direction to a ministry that in my opinion is a God-ordained mission designed to help those less fortunate come to know and grow in their relationship with Christ, and to help bridge a gap that exists in God’s family between those who are more able to enjoy God’s blessings (spiritual and otherwise) and those who for whatever reason do not experience those blessings.
